Vishwaroopam , is an upcoming Indian spy thriller  movie written,directed and co-produced by  

Legendary actor Kamal Haasan and also  featured by him on the lead role.The movie is bilingual  with Tamil and Hindi version named 'Vishwaroop'.

 The movie is a dream project of kamal Haasan.The movie was announced so early but it took
so long to complete  due to casting issues and overseas shooting delays.The movie was shot at US and Canada and some scenes at Chennai and Mumbai.........


Vishwaroopam is the first Indian movie to be equipped with Auro 3D sound format.


Story line:

The story revolves around Ms.Nirupama(Pooja) ,a nuclear oncologist from Chennai and Vishwanath (Kamal),who runs a Kathak School in U S.

 Nirupama comes to U S to pursue her higher studies and marries Viswanath .After few years of marriage ,when she wants to break up with her husband she needed to find faults with her husband and employs a detective for that.

The rest of the story is about what happens when she finds out who he really is.

 Bottom line:         
The movie is gotten into several controversies as Kamal Haasan decided to release the movie through DTH one day prior to the threatrical release and the theatre owners association raising protest against this move.

Also several Islamic organisations in Tamil Nadu also raised protests against the movie stating that the movie portraits Muslims as Terrorists.

With all these concerns the movie is scheduled to release on 11 january and  kamal is firm in his decision on DTH release and if it happened it would the first movie to be released on DTH and also he explains that the Movie noway degrades Muslims in anyway.
