How to Connect your PC to Internet Using an Android Phone

Android smartphones available in the market today satisfies almost everything that could earlier be done with a PC only.Internet is more flexible with smartphone but there are cases where a PC is a must.What if it is on a journey and the only internet source available is that of your phone.

There are more ways to connect your Android device to your PC ,we here discuss about the most easiest and convenient way i.e by using USB tethering.

If you have a tethering application available with your device no need to download a new one ,otherwise if you are new to Android then create an account in Google Play.

Download any of the USB tethering free app from Google Play.I would recommend pdanet.

Download pdanet and install it on your phone.

Now you must enable usb debugging on your device. To do that goto 

Settings--->Application--->Development--->USB debug.Enable it.

Then go to the app list and open the pdanet app.On its first run it will ask you to download the framework for the PC.Just follow the instructions to download the framework.

The framework will be downloaded into the downloads in your SD card.

Now connect your Android phone to the PC via a USB cable.Click on Mount then open your SD card .Copy the downloaded Framework  from the SD card to the PC and install the frame work in the PC.

Dismount and disconnect the cable and connect it again.Then a dialog asking for installation will be on the PC.Continue with installation.

Once you are completed.Connect your phone to internet using the data connection option on your phone.

Once you are connected to internet go to the application list and start the pdanet.

Select the USB tethering option from the list.The application will verify for an internet connection  and it will display turnoff tethering if everything is ok with your connection i.e tethering is started.

Now locate the pdanet application installed on the PC and Select the option connect to internet.It verify the connection and if it says connected,then you are ready to go.

Start your browser and enjoy ...
